Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the spacer kit for your Sidewinder fifth wheel kingpin. As you know, the Sidewinder is a great option for those of you who have short bed pickup trucks that are wanting to haul a fifth wheel. It's going to offset that pivot point, so it's going to give you more maneuverability so that as you're making tight turns and those sort of things, your trailer isn't going to come in contact with your cab. But the Sidewinder does have set dimensions. So if you do have a wider wing set, like any of those that you see on the screen there, you will need the spacers to make sure that everything is going to fit nice and snug and be safe.Now, these are a black powder coated finish, sturdy steel construction so they're going to hold up well, last a long time.
These are going to attach to the turret on your Sidewinder with the roll pins here and they just slide in place and that's going to keep them connected. So you're not going to have to worry about installing these every time or anything like that. It's just going to stay in place and make it just a little bit wider so that it fits in well with those wing plates that you already have. This is right about a quarter inch thick. Can hold the ruler up here so you can see, right about quarter inch in width.
So between the two of them, will take you up to about a half inch and you're going to get two of these plates as well as four of these roll pins and a set of instructions to make sure that you're getting everything installed correctly.Basically the short version is, you can see these little notches in the plate here. So the two notches here indicate that this is the bottom and the notch here indicates that this is the back. So you want to make sure that you get that installed on your Sidewinder with this on the back and these on the bottom and everything should line up perfectly for you. So if you do have that Sidewinder, you need a little bit more space to make sure that everything's going to stay nice and secure. This is the kit that you're going to need.
It does come with a limited lifetime warranty. So if you we're to have any problems with them, you could give us a call, we'd help you out with that.But I really think these are going to be a great option for you. You're not going to have to worry about rattling or just not being safe in your connection. So this is going to be the kit for you. So that's going to complete our look for today.

Worked as described, I have a 2018 Fuzion 369 with the 1716 hitch mount, upgraded to the Reese 20k Gooseneck Pin Box, only needed one spacer worked great.
Spacer kit for sidewinder arrived earl, installed and fit perfect and now towing fifth wheel with ram short box. Thanks for the great service!!
Spacers are good but the instructions could be better also you need to say that these spacers work on the 16000 lbs goose box hitch
Product seems to be well made. Heavy duty and powder coated so you won’t have to worry about rust. I haven’t installed it yet but I’m happy so far from what I see! Thank you

Works great. Wished I would have understood the necessity of this product before I blew my back window out in Kentucky. Scared the daylights out of our dog and we were 600 miles from home just starting our journey. I would really like thank Turttles auto glass in Bristol TN. They were life savers. Cannot say enough about the service from Turttles. Very rare service. Moving the pivot point back about 20 inches is something you NEED if you have a short bed truck pulling a fifth wheel. Brian
